CINEMATOGRAPHER | DIRECTOR
KAGHO IDHEBOR’s journey into film began at the National Film Institute Jos,where he obtained a degree in film production. In 2012, he further developed his skills by earning a certificate in Advanced Cinematography from the prestigious German-funded institute, One Fine Day Films, in Nairobi, Kenya.
His recent short film, “The Broken Mask,” won the award for Best Short Film at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2024. His debut photo essay, “Burkina Babes,” has been screened at prestigious film festivals, including the Film Africa festival under the Beyond Nollywood program at BFI London, and the Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO),
His recent cinematography work, “The Weekend,” was an official selection for the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. It also won him the best cinematography award at the prestigious African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) in 2024. Kagho is Currently residing in Lagos working as a freelance cinematographer and director.
